As in all three day eventing competitions some of the top riders in the world were here at the Domaine de Sers in this closely fought final stage of the CCI****.
The last four riders thrilled the 10,000 spectators present at the stadium because they were all in with a chance for a place on the podium. 40 000 visitors in total over the five days of the event. Lire la suite »
This morning under a light, freezing rain, the brave riders faced an early start in the CIC** cross-country phase. There were a few eventful moments, especially at the second water jump (no. 13) which wiped out several consecutive riders and which prompted the decision of course designer, Pierre Michelet, to alter the course. During the press conference of yesterday (26/10), Jonathan Paget and Michael Jung told us they were worried about the 6th obstacle, the water fence which was coming very soon in the cross-country test. At the end, the obstacle has been brilliantly passed by the rider.
There was a welcome surprise at the “Cocktails de Cavaliers” on Friday evening when the Pau citizen Tony Estanguet, Olympic gold medal winner in Canoe Kayak met the medal winners from the Concours Complet d’Equitation. Lire la suite »
